[Remote] Business Development Representative

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC. is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to join their Inside Sales team at BloomNet. This role focuses on driving new business growth through outbound prospecting and relationship building with potential partners in the floral and gourmet sectors. Responsibilities Actively prospect and make high-volume outbound cold calls to generate new business opportunities Identify and engage key decision-makers within prospective accounts Qualify leads by understanding customer needs, business goals, and fit for BloomNet’s offerings Present product features and value propositions clearly and effectively to close new business Collaborate with market managers to plan and execute targeted telesales campaigns Communicate product benefits and promotional offers to drive interest and conversion Document campaign activity, outcomes, and insights to support continuous improvement Build, maintain, and update a comprehensive database of prospective customers Accurately record all prospect interactions, call outcomes, and follow-up activity in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) Utilize sales data and reporting to track progress, identify trends, and inform outreach strategies Execute consistent follow-up procedures to move prospects through the sales funnel Nurture early-stage relationships to support successful onboarding and long-term engagement Maintain positive working relationships with internal teams and cross-functional partners Proactively seek new revenue opportunities by identifying emerging market trends and customer segments Participate in company social networking and digital outreach efforts to support sales initiatives Stay informed on competitive offerings and industry developments Adhere to company policies and procedures, including timely completion of required reports and documentation Follow expense guidelines and cost-control practices Perform additional duties as assigned to support business development objectives Skills Motivated and results-driven Experience in outbound prospecting and cold calling Ability to identify and engage key decision-makers within prospective accounts Skills to qualify leads by understanding customer needs and business goals Ability to present product features and value propositions clearly and effectively Experience in collaborating with market managers to plan and execute targeted telesales campaigns Ability to communicate product benefits and promotional offers Skills in documenting campaign activity, outcomes, and insights Ability to build, maintain, and update a comprehensive database of prospective customers Skills to accurately record all prospect interactions, call outcomes, and follow-up activity in CRM systems Ability to utilize sales data and reporting to track progress and identify trends Experience in executing consistent follow-up procedures to move prospects through the sales funnel Ability to nurture early-stage relationships for successful onboarding and long-term engagement Skills to maintain positive working relationships with internal teams and cross-functional partners Ability to proactively seek new revenue opportunities by identifying emerging market trends and customer segments Experience in participating in company social networking and digital outreach efforts Ability to stay informed on competitive offerings and industry developments Adherence to company policies and procedures, including timely completion of required reports and documentation Ability to follow expense guidelines and cost-control practices Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned to support business development objectives Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) Sales professional with a hunter mentality Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment Benefits Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance for the associate and family (if applicable) Flexible Spending Account Health Savings Account 401k retirement program Mental health resources/ Employee Assistance Program 80 hours of paid vacation time (accrued on an hourly basis) 9 paid holidays 30% employee discount across our family of brands Potential eligibility for annual merit-based wage increase, if applicable Company Overview 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, Inc.
