Telemetry Nurse (RN) in South Portland, ME

A nursing opportunity is available for experienced RNs with a background in medical telemetry and intermediate care. This contract position offers both day and night shifts, providing 36 guaranteed hours weekly with weekend hours included. Candidates should be adaptable, ready to float between IMC and med/surg units based on clinical needs and skill level. Qualifications & Desired Experience: • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant RN experience • Current BLS certification • Strong competency with ventilator management and respiratory care including BiPaP and CPAP • Experience managing tracheostomies and interpreting telemetry strips is essential • Familiarity with IV pumps, epidural pumps, specialty beds, PCA pumps, and wound care devices such as VAC dressings • Comfortable delivering patient-centered care to individuals with complex acute and chronic medical conditions, including respiratory failure, sepsis, DKA, and altered mental status Location: This role is located in South Portland, ME, a vibrant coastal city known for its scenic waterfront, charming neighborhoods, and thriving culinary scene.
