Technical Product Manager / Product Owner (AI SaaS) — Write End‑to‑End Feature Specs (Jira + Figma) - Contract to Hire
About Us We’re a young AI chat support SaaS startup with a 7-person team. We’re moving fast and need someone who can turn leadership’s ideas into clear, build-ready feature specifications that design and engineering can execute without ambiguity. ________________________________________ The Role Work directly with the founders/leadership team. When given a feature or area of the product, you will: 1.Research comparable/competitive products and identify best practices, gaps, and risks. 2. Write the product specification (PRD) our management can approve. 3. Translate the PRD into Jira: epics, user stories, tasks, and acceptance criteria. 4. Collaborate with Design in Figma (you create low-fi wireframes/user flows; our designer finalizes UI). 5. Partner with front-end and back-end devs to clarify technical details (API contracts, states, edge cases). 6. Plan and run sprints with the engineering lead: backlog grooming, sprint planning, and post-sprint reviews. 7. Track delivery (burndown/velocity), remove blockers, and ensure the team is working optimally. ________________________________________ What You’ll Deliver (every feature) • Competitive scan: 3–6 reference products, screenshots, pros/cons, and rationale for our approach. • PRD / Feature Spec: problem, goals/non-goals, scope, success metrics, personas/use cases, flows, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and rollout plan. • Design handoff pack: annotated flows + low-fi wireframes in Figma; component references if applicable. • Engineering ready tickets in Jira: Epic → stories → tasks with complete acceptance criteria, test cases, and definition of done. • Sprint plan: estimates with engineering, dependencies, risks, and clear milestones. • Post launch validation: metric checks, QA signoff criteria, and a short retro. ________________________________________ Must Have Qualifications • 3+ years in Product Management / Product Ownership / Business Analysis for B2B SaaS. • Strong requirement writing: you’ve shipped features using PRDs that design & engineering actually love. • Hands on with Jira (epics/stories/workflows), Figma (flows/wireframes/annotations). • Comfortable specifying acceptance criteria (e.g., Gherkin given/when/then) and edge cases. • Experience running Agile ceremonies: backlog grooming, sprint planning, retros. • Excellent written English; concise, unambiguous specs. Nice to Have • Experience with AI/LLM products, chat/support tooling, analytics/event tracking, or API products.
