Position Overview The Technical Designer for Socks will be primarily responsible for ensuring that quality fit, desired appearance, and company quality fit standards are met and maintained. You will work closely with design, production, and sourcing teams to ensure that the garments meet quality fit standards, function optimally, and are produced within the desired timelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sock technical specifications and garment construction. Responsibilities • Set Fit Standards for each desired sock • Check construction, fit, and style details to original sample and company’s minimum manufacturing specifications. • Make corrections to specifications and follow customer directions to achieve desired fit and look. • Promptly communicate changes needed to achieve correct fit, maintain fit consistency, and fulfill the style intent of the design • Responsible for fit approval: Pre Production fit samples, Green tag samples , and TOPs • Identify and analyze problems, make sound recommendations, take appropriate action, Follow-up to ensure all product details and specifications are being respected (i.e. corrections made to production • Advise on technical design solutions to improve garment performance and function • Provide input on material selection and evaluate fabric performance in relation to fit and function. • Track project timelines and milestones, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality. • Product Insight: Possessing a keen eye for product aesthetics, fit, and shapes, you will contribute valuable insights to enhance product design and execution. Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Design and Product Development • 3-5 years of experience within the sock industry • 3-5 years of grading and construction experience • Solid working knowledge garment construction, sewing techniques, stitch properties, and overall garment detail. • Highly motivated self-starter • Team player • Knowledge of garment fit and ability to articulate fit change recommendations. • Able to interpret design, intent and create alternative solutions. • Strong communication, detail orientation, and follow-through • This a hybrid role, with 4 days in our Secaucus, NJ office PAY RATE: $85,000/yr-$100,000/yr At Delta Galil, we strive to hire and nurture amazing talent.
