Join the Foundation for California Community Colleges as a Graphic Design Intern and Make a Lasting Impact The Foundation for California Community Colleges is on a mission to double its impact in the next 10 years, and we're seeking a talented and motivated Graphic Design Intern to join our team for an 8-week summer internship program. As a remote intern, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with our Graphic Design team to create compelling graphics and designs that help communicate our organization's mission and initiatives through visual storytelling. About Us The Foundation for California Community Colleges is the official nonprofit partner to the California Community Colleges, the largest and most diverse system of higher education in the nation. Our work reaches all 116 California Community Colleges across 73 districts and is designed to help improve the student experience and expand pathways to economic and social mobility across California. What You'll Do As a Graphic Design Intern, you'll play a crucial role in supporting our Graphic Design team across various projects and tasks. Your key responsibilities will include: Design Support: Assist the Graphic Design team in creating visual assets for print, digital, and social media platforms, including infographics, presentations, ads, website graphics, and social media images. Branding: Provide support in maintaining brand style guides and ensuring consistency across designed materials. Production: Help the design team finalize files and prepare designs for production across various mediums and vendors. Asset Management: Assist in organizing and maintaining libraries of graphic assets, images, and design files. Design Research: Conduct research to inform design decisions, including investigating current trends and examples from competitors or industry leaders. Attributes for Success To excel in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications: Currently enrolled at least part-time at a California Community College, pursuing an associate's degree or certificate in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related program. Strong visual communication and design abilities. Experience with graphic design platforms and tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud. Knowledge of brand style guides and consistency. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deliverables. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Preferred qualifications include: Experience working with graphic design and photography. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
