About the Role We're seeking an experienced Staff Program & Portfolio Manager to join our growing IT organization as a vital member of our unified Planning and Program Supervisory crew. As a key player in our team, you will drive our largest and most complex projects, while continuing to develop strategic planning cycles. This role requires a functional understanding of core corporate technology and experience working across organizational boundaries to drive decisions. Key Responsibilities: Planning and Portfolio Management: Drive forecasting IT targets and key outcomes, and aid in the prioritization of projects necessary to achieve them. Provide visibility into high-level timelines and resource utilization across the portfolio to inform decisions. Program Execution: Partner closely with IT leaders and teams, business capability owners, and security specialists to deliver our most complex, large-scale programs. Process Enhancement: Implement portfolio and program upgrades to manage complexity and streamline speed. Balance the need for robust processes with the need for agility and adaptability. Technical Expertise: Develop a working understanding of key corporate initiatives and their interdependencies, allowing you to contribute to efficient, secure design and own effective issue resolution through technical problem-solving and mitigation planning. Change Management and Communications: Lead others through change by helping them understand the rationale and their role, using proactive and focused communications, schedule management, and progress toward program goals. Stakeholder Management: Manage expectations by laying out strong, clear connections with stakeholders. Mentorship: Guide junior colleagues across our growing teams and surface alternative approaches to upleveling the organization with your experience and library of best practices. What We're Looking For To succeed in this role, you'll need: 8+ years of experience driving IT programs across ecosystems of identity and access management and prominent corporate technologies, with exposure to Back and/or HR technology, demonstrating growing responsibility over time. Cloud expertise: Familiarity with cloud advancements (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and the discernibility capabilities supporting operational flexibility. Tech industry experience: Experience working at a technology company balancing high-growth needs with progress toward long-term objectives. Strategic thinking: Ability to understand the big picture on a case-by-case basis, effectively aligning multiple teams toward a shared goal. Analytical skills: Evaluate solutions for effects on people, process, and technology. Identify gaps and raise issues, even when it's uncomfortable, seeking the optimal solution. Technical acumen: Comfortable driving conversation around infrastructure architecture, integrations, design trade-offs, and best practices in security or compliance requirements. Proactive leadership: Willingness to take action, drive teams forward, and realign as more data becomes available. Prioritization skills: Evaluate multiple factors to determine priority and understand when incoming requests require urgency or compromise. Essential and Preferred Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline). 8+ years of experience in IT program management, with a focus on identity and access management, corporate technologies, and/or Back and HR technology. Strong understanding of cloud advancements and their applications in operational flexibility. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth technology company. Familiarity with DoorDash's industry and business model. Certifications in ITIL, Scrum Master, or related fields.
