About the Role As a Senior Solutions Architect at FedEx, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and implementing advanced end-to-end solution architectures for complex initiatives across our enterprise. You'll work closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand their needs, identify opportunities for growth, and design solutions that balance competing interests. Your technical expertise and leadership will be instrumental in driving our business strategy forward and shaping the future of connected commerce. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain a deep understanding of FedEx's business strategy and initiatives, translating them into actionable technical roadmaps. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to identify and define enterprise capabilities, build out long-term roadmaps, and create SAFe artifacts, IRIS, and SPARX design documents. Provide technical leadership to multiple initiatives, facilitating the migration from current to future state architectures. Mentor and guide less senior Solutions Architects in developing their skills and expertise. Combine business strategy with technical and application portfolio knowledge to deconstruct complex concepts into simplified components and capabilities. Develop an integrated view of the Express portfolio to enable better prioritization and investment decisions. Leverage industry and technology trends to recommend action plans across FedEx Enterprise and to FedEx Leadership. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent formal training or work experience. A minimum of 5 years of work experience in an information technology or engineering environment. Strong understanding of business capability management strategies and solutions, with hands-on experience architecting, designing, implementing, and delivering solutions. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with proven executive presentation skills. Demonstrated collaboration skills and ability to work in a dynamic team environment, interacting with resources from technical and business organizations. Preferred Qualifications To stand out in this role, you'll ideally have: Experience in Java/C#/.NET, Webservices, API management with API-First philosophy, Microservices, and Cloud Native Development. Experience in Cloud environments and platforms like Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Azure, Google Cloud, etc. Experience working with business and IT architects in requirements analysis and modeling tools (e.g., IRIS Business Architect, SPARX, ER Studio, or other modeling tools). Knowledge of Business Architecture Guild (BIZBOK) and The Open Architecture Framework (TOGAF) or other architectural frameworks. Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience and architecture practice experience. Knowledge of the Transportation and Logistics industry domain, business concepts, and IT needs.
