We're now seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Datacenter Operations to lead our internal IT department's datacenter operations teams to new heights. About the Role This fully remote opportunity allows you to work from anywhere while leading our datacenter operations teams to drive success. As the Sr. Manager of Datacenter Operations, you will report to the Sr. Director of IT Operations and be based at either our Somerset, NJ (HQ) or SHI Austin office. You'll oversee teams responsible for backups, Windows updates, PowerPlatform and Collaboration, Microsoft Infrastructure services, and Cloud (GCP, AWS, and Azure) services, ensuring the health and resilience of our datacenter operations. Key Responsibilities Build and operate our core server infrastructure technology, leveraging internal and cloud-based infrastructure. Design and deploy comprehensive monitoring solutions and high availability (HA) solutions to ensure environment resiliency. Develop strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity meets demand and maintain availability performance statistics and reports. Implement a mature lifecycle management strategy for datacenter hardware and lead the team of core platform engineers. Foster a culture of positive, productive, well-prepared, and trained individuals to ensure high-level delivery. Mature our cloud strategy and ensure all standard operating procedures and associated documents are up-to-date and effective. Develop and maintain KPIs to measure team performance and ensure objectives are met. Capacity planning: Develop, maintain, and update capacity planning processes, tools, and documentation. Collaborate with other groups to proactively ensure operational network improvements and capabilities meet emerging and future business requirements. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should possess: A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. 5+ years of experience managing datacenter teams of similar size and scope. 5+ years working in senior-level technical positions supporting similar technology. Strong background in datacenter technologies, enterprise-level data protection solutions, and Microsoft Power platform. Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP services, and Microsoft foundation services (infrastructure services, certificate services, Active Directory, PKI, etc.). Experience with Teams and other collaboration tools, process design, and process improvement methods. Strategic planning abilities aligned with business segment and company initiatives. Strong leadership qualities, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills. Preferred Qualifications and Skills To stand out, you'll ideally have: A strong Microsoft Azure and infrastructure services background. AWS and Azure certifications. Experience with after-hours or weekend work for service-impacting changes or problems and on-call for networking emergencies.
