As a Retail Innovation & Design Manager, you will be an integral part of our team, driving business relevance and growth by identifying innovative consumer culture, lifestyle, and industry trends. Key Responsibilities Drive Business Growth through Trend Identification : Identify, forecast, and articulate innovative consumer culture, lifestyle, and industry trends (both external and internal Disney) and retail-specific landscape trends (macro-level, product-level, and Disney-owned) into long-term business opportunities for retail across Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, and DSE. Develop and Maintain Trend Database : Develop a cast-facing trend database for broader organizational use and support the development of major strategic merchandise projects, including analysis and systems and database development. Social Listening and Cultural Dynamics : Closely supervise social listening platforms and maintain a constant pulse on cultural dynamics, trends, and opportunities. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams : Participate on task teams driving work, generating key analysis, identification of issues and opportunities, partnering to develop solutions and recommendations, and developing presentations to share information. Data Analysis and Insights : Synthesize, run, and translate multiple data inputs (qualitative and quantitative) into future-focused, actionable insights by using a combination of internal consumer data, secondary sources, and primary social analysis. Strategic Signal Spotting : Track and further strategic signal spotting of Disney-specific behaviors, attitudes, and aesthetics that unlock fresh, own-able trends and opportunity spaces for parks/DSE retail. Partnerships and Collaboration : Collaborate with partners across Key Product categories, Consumer Insights, Measurement, and Analytics, and other relevant teams to understand broad consumer trends and business opportunities. Innovation Pipeline Development : Partner with the development and execution of the Innovation pipeline to inspire a new generation of consumer-centered products and experiences. Requirements and Skills Essential Qualifications: Proven Experience : 3-5 years of proven experience with retail/trend forecasting. Trend Identification : Prior depth of knowledge in deciphering broad signals and trend identification. Communication and Collaboration : Experience communicating and collaborating with teams and leaders across The Walt Disney Company. Analytical Capabilities : Strong analytical capabilities. Preferred Qualifications: Disney Parks/DSE Knowledge : Extensive knowledge of Disney Parks/DSE consumer and landscape. Education: Bachelor's Degree : Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
