Job Description:
As a Text Entry Specialist, you will be instrumental in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our company’s vital information database. You will be responsible for transcribing handwritten or dictated material, editing the information for errors, updating records, and deleting irrelevant ones.
Having an eye for detail and excellent typing skills are paramount for this role. You need to be comfortable working independently, be disciplined in meeting project deadlines, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Requirements:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM with high accuracy
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
4. Computer literate and familiarity with MS Office Suite
5. Strong attention to detail
6. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
7. Ability to maintain confidentiality
Responsibilities:
1. Transcribing and entering data accurately into the company’s information database
2. Proofreading entries for errors and making necessary corrections
3. Updating and deleting obsolete data
4. Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
5. Meeting set targets and deadlines
6. Regularly backing up data in case of loss
7. Assisting in developing and implementing new data entry processes
Educational Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not necessary.
Experience:
Previous experience in typing or data entry roles will be a plus.
