[Remote] Facility Compliance Consultant I - GEN

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is one of the largest agencies in the state, responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of North Carolinians. The Facility Compliance Consultant I will conduct inspections of mental health facilities and perform surveys to determine compliance with state regulations. Responsibilities Conducting On-Site Surveys - Perform all assigned annual, complaint, and follow up surveys of health care providers within required time frame Complete Written Documentation: Complete and submit all required paperwork according to Section protocols within required timeframes Collaboration & Communication: Participate in all required meetings and trainings to ensure effective communication with management, team, public and providers Public Contact: Clearly explain rules, survey findings, deficiencies and regulations to providers, facility staff, the public and other agencies Skills Social Work Master's degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and one year experience in surveying, clinical and/or administration of a program in a related health field Bachelor's degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and three years' experience in surveying, clinical and/or administration of a program in a related health field An equivalent combination of education and experience Strong written & oral communication skills and the ability to document clearly and concisely in a technical report Strong organizational, investigative and analytical skills and the ability to make objective decisions while functioning independently Strong clinical background and knowledge in the field of mental health, developmental disabilities and/or substance use disorder Benefits Employees can participate in health insurance options Standard and supplemental retirement plans The NCFlex program (numerous high-quality, low-cost benefits on a pre-tax basis) Employees also receive paid vacation, sick, and community service leave Paid parental leave is available to eligible employees Company Overview The Department of Health and Human Services manages the delivery of health- and human-related services for all North Carolinians.
