The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, self-starter with news, talk show, and/or sports experience, who can effectively manage multiple priorities within a busy, newsroom environment. The Production Assistant will be responsible for developing and pitching stories on a daily basis, assisting with booking guests and handling pre- to post-production for our live daily show. Responsibilities:Book on-air contributors, research, pitch, and develop daily "out of the box" show concepts and stories Complete screening of all show guestsDaily collaboration with other Production team members, the editorial team, designers, editors, and other staff to develop creative news storiesContribute and assist other team members with the preparation of detailed scripts/notes for on-air talentOther duties, as assignedRequirements:Requires a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experienceIdeal candidate will ideally have at least 1-2 years of experience in the entertainment industryAbility to work well under pressure and multi-task within a fast-paced environmentRequires solid knowledge of celebrity pop culture, social media, and current entertainment industry trendsMust have strong phone and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with celebrities and their representatives (publicists, agents, etc.)Must have excellent organizational and time management skillsAdvanced Microsoft Office Suite skills required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Adobe Premiere and Photoshop skills are a plusTMZ is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
