Our headquarters are in Boca Raton, FL, where the majority of our employees are located, with additional offices in Seattle, WA and Toronto, Canada. Position OverviewThis is a fully remote position. We’re looking for a Principal Data Engineer & Product Lead to support our Professional Services team in delivering custom data solutions to clients across regulated industries. This role is a blend of technical execution and client-facing collaboration, responsible for building tailored analytics, onboarding data integrations, and supporting enterprise-level deliverables such as reports, dashboards, and performance insights. The ideal candidate brings a balance of data fluency, customer empathy, and technical execution. You’ll work closely with the Professional Services, Client Success, and Product teams to translate client needs into actionable data assets that drive measurable business outcomes. Key ResponsibilitiesPartner with Professional Services team members to scope and deliver client-specific reporting and data solutionsDesign, build, and maintain custom SQL queries, data pipelines, and transformation logic to support enterprise reporting requestsSupport the onboarding of new clients by integrating their historical data sources with Springbig’s platformBuild dashboards, scorecards, and scheduled reports for clients using BI tools (Quicksights, Redshift, AWS Services, etc.)Work directly with clients to troubleshoot reporting questions, clarify data definitions, and provide analysis that supports their KPIsCollaborate cross-functionally to align data deliverables with platform capabilities and client expectationsEnsure data integrity, accuracy, and privacy compliance across all Professional Services outputsDocument processes, templates, and technical solutions to support scale and repeatability within the teamProvide analytical insight that helps clients better understand loyalty program performance, campaign ROI, and platform utilizationAssist in the development of standardized reporting packages for high-value clients and strategic partnersRequirements2–4 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or business intelligence, ideally in a client-facing or services-focused roleStrong SQL skills and experience with relational databases and data modelingFamiliarity with ETL tools and scripting languages such as Python for automation and transformationExperience working with BI/reporting tools like QuickSights, Tableau, Looker or similar platformsComfort working directly with clients, including gathering requirements, presenting findings, and managing expectationsExcellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiencesAbility to balance multiple projects, shifting timelines, and client-specific deliverablesHighly organized, with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindsetExperience working in SaaS, MarTech, or loyalty/CRM platforms is a plusBachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, or a related fieldWhat’s it like to work at Springbig?
