Paper Machine Operator

Candidates must: Be able to solve problems independently Be able to multitask Be able to work independently and as part of a team Be able to follow directions Interpret data from a computer system Be able to use hand tools Have a strong mechanical aptitude Be able to move quickly with their feet Be able to stay on their feet for 12 hours Be ultra-cognizant of their surroundings and potential hazards Be able to lift 50 + pounds Be able to climb stairs & ladders Be able to tolerate a hot (100 + degree) climate Be able to work 12 hour rotating shift roster (day and nights, including weekends and holidays) Be highly motivated Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Monitor machines, equipment, and processes Housekeeping to include washing up, raking up paper, shoveling debris, etc Small repairs of paper mill equipment Identify areas for process improvement Perform test on either raw material or finished product Perform fast walking rounds of work area continuously Install paper machine clothing Train other employees as well as receive training in multiple jobs throughout the plant Embrace the Challenge, Reap the Rewards Only work 14 days out of every 28 days Built in overtime in your schedule Competitive compensation and career growth opportunities Hands-on experience in sustainable manufacturing Be part of a broader mission to protect the environment Collaborative and supportive work environment Paid training programs A positive work culture Qualifications: High School Diploma required College Degree is preferred Military Background is a plus Paper mill experience is a plus The path to excellence is yours to carve, with support from a team that values innovation and sustainability.
