About the Role We're seeking a highly skilled Systems Software Engineer to join our team in San Francisco, CA, with the flexibility to work remotely under our hybrid work model. As a Frameworks Programmer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a scalable infrastructure that enables our AI models to interact securely and efficiently. You will collaborate closely with other researchers and engineers to implement a common research plan and drive the development of our AI systems. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain a scalable infrastructure to support our AI research and applications Optimize the infrastructure for speed and efficiency, including asset allocation, networking, and storage Collaborate with researchers and engineers to integrate your work into our larger framework and support emerging research needs Troubleshoot issues that arise and ensure the framework is stable and reliable Take ownership of end-to-end tasks and proactively acquire necessary knowledge to achieve project goals Qualifications and Requirements To succeed in this role, you should have: Essential Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, or another relevant language Experience with systems software programming, focusing on virtualization, containerization, and sandboxing A good understanding of computer systems and networks Experience with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and VirtualBox Preferred Qualifications Experience with distributed systems A proven track record of working in high-speed, collaborative, and cutting-edge research environments A cooperative outlook and eagerness to work as part of a team towards a shared goal Skills and Competencies We're looking for individuals with a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
