Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality instruction in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, following lesson plans and adapting to the needs of the students. Manage classroom behavior, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment. Communicate effectively with school staff, including providing feedback on student performance and any challenges faced during the assignment. Participate in 1:1 check-ins with your designated Scoot consultant to discuss school feedback, develop your teaching skills, and align with your preferences for future assignments. Engage in ongoing professional development through our free, online training programs that cover topics such as trauma-informed teaching and classroom management. Essential Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits. Three professional references, with one being from a previous direct supervisor. Ability to pass a background check (cost reimbursed by Scoot Education). A passion for education and a commitment to putting students first. An empathetic nature, a growth mindset, and a drive to excel in your role. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a substitute teacher or in a related educational role. Specialized training or certifications in areas such as Special Education, ESL, or STEM. Familiarity with curriculum design and implementation. Experience working with diverse student populations and age groups (Kinder to High School).
