Key Responsibilities As a Content Writer and Communications Specialist at Amazon, your key responsibilities will include: Setting and managing restrictions on outgoing content to ensure consistency and quality across all channels Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including product owners, public relations, and public policy teams, to develop and implement content strategies Writing and reviewing business materials, including blog articles, newsletters, and other external communications, to ensure they meet Amazon's writing standards Creating a content strategy in collaboration with the Customer Loyalty Team to promote customer trust and loyalty Leading content analysis with senior managers and program managers from the Client Trust Team to identify areas for improvement and optimize content performance Collaborating with product, technology, and business teams to define content for external stakeholders and ensure alignment with business goals Defining and creating new customer loyalty content, including blog articles, newsletters, and other external communications Serving as a communicator to senior executives, including those who direct the production and delivery of presentation materials for management Identifying and establishing contacts with internal and external experts to assist in content creation Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: 3+ years of experience in communications or journalism, with a focus on corporate communications, public relations, or external work Knowledge and comfort with writing in AP style, as well as experience writing web and/or blog content using CMS tools A deep understanding of writing for target audience groups and applying brand voice principles Strong experience in creating and/or editing content, with a portfolio of work that demonstrates your skills and expertise A bachelor's degree in English, technical, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working with global teams and colleagues Experience working in an agile content development environment Experience with markup languages such as HTML or XML A strong penchant for action and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to create high-quality content that engages and informs target audiences Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external experts Ability to think strategically and develop content strategies that align with business goals Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze content performance and identify areas for improvement Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Amazon, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for career growth and development.
