About the Role We're seeking an experienced Bookkeeping Manager to join our team on a part-time basis. As a remote position, you'll have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, overseeing and reviewing the work of our team of 6 remote bookkeepers. Reporting to our Founding Partner, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completion of our clients' books, as well as training and supporting our team members to deliver exceptional results. Key Responsibilities Review clients' books for accuracy and completion, ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded and up-to-date Train Remote Bookkeepers on all aspects of their work, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional results Multi-task across clients, prioritizing tasks and managing deadlines to ensure that all projects are completed on time and to a high standard Brainstorm and implement solutions for new procedures needed by existing clients, leveraging your expertise and creativity to drive innovation and improvement Ensure that all processes are documented using Loom, facilitating easy knowledge transfer between teammates and promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous learning Troubleshoot and respond to client inquiries that our Remote Bookkeepers cannot handle, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure client satisfaction Manage the workload and capacity of our bookkeeping team, ensuring that all team members are working efficiently and effectively to meet client needs Perform the work of a Remote Bookkeeper when needed, providing backup support and ensuring that client needs are met during periods of absence or high workload Assist with projects that increase the efficiency and productivity of our firm, leveraging your expertise and experience to drive innovation and improvement Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications: A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Remote Bookkeeper, with a strong background in QuickBooks Online and a proven track record of delivering exceptional results An entrepreneurial spirit, with a desire to see our firm grow and serve as many clients as possible Excellent delegation skills, with the ability to motivate and support our team members to achieve their full potential An ability to seek and find solutions to problems, leveraging your expertise and creativity to drive innovation and improvement An interest in using technology to increase efficiency and productivity, with experience using tools such as QBO, QB Time, Bill.com, Expensify, Trello, and Google Suite or MS Office Suite Empathetic and able to listen well, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following preferred qualifications will be highly regarded: Certification in QuickBooks Online, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices Experience with payroll processing tools such as Gusto, iSolved, ADP, and Paychex, with the ability to provide guidance and support to our team members Familiarity with project management tools such as Karbon and Loom, with the ability to leverage these tools to drive innovation and improvement A strong understanding of small business accounting and financial processes, with the ability to provide guidance and support to our team members and clients Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong technical skills, with experience using a range of accounting and bookkeeping software and tools Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support our team members and communicate effectively with clients Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to leverage your expertise and creativity to drive innovation and improvement Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and continuous learning Strong attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and ensuring that all client needs are met Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Sound Advice Bookkeeping, we're committed to supporting the growth and development of our team members.
