Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician II to join our team on the 3rd shift. As a QC Technician II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and maintaining compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Prepare specimens for testing and perform tests in accordance with written test procedures Schedule testing to meet department and plant commitments, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks Maintain instrumentation and equipment in alignment with manufacturer's labeling and in-house audit and calibration procedures Leverage GMP in maintaining records and logs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements Maintain working laboratory inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies as needed Conduct other laboratory functions required to support business needs, including assisting in the training of peers Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 1 year of work experience in QA or QC or related field, with experience in a cGMP environment Ability to speak, read, and write in English, including technical and scientific language Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a laboratory setting, with knowledge of laboratory procedures and protocols Familiarity with GMP and regulatory requirements, including FDA and ISO guidelines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management Skills and Competencies Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy and precision in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Thermo Fisher Scientific, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
