We're seeking an experienced and nationally certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team, contributing to the development and administration of our pharmacy benefit programs. About Our Pharmacy Services Team Our Pharmacy Services/Management staff work tirelessly to ensure that our members have access to all medically necessary prescription drugs. We're committed to operating and monitoring our pharmacy benefit programs in accordance with all federal and state laws, promoting the safe and effective use of medications. Our team is involved in various aspects, including formulary management, clinical pharmacy services, and oversight, to drive positive patient outcomes and medication safety. Key Responsibilities Perform initial receipt and review of non-formulary or prior authorization requests against plan-approved criteria, requesting additional information from providers as needed. Accurately enter online approvals or denials of requests, making and carrying out simple prior authorization requests within established policies and procedures. Participate in the development and administration of programs designed to enhance the utilization of targeted drugs and identify cost-saving pharmacy practices. Identify and report departmental operational issues and resource needs to appropriate management, driving continuous improvement. Assist Molina Member Services, pharmacies, and health plan providers in resolving member prescription claim, prior authorization, or pharmacy services access issues, providing exceptional support. Articulate Pharmacy Management policies and procedures to pharmacy/health plan providers, other Molina staff, and others as needed, promoting transparency and understanding. Qualifications and Requirements Essential Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent: A foundational education that demonstrates your ability to complete secondary-level coursework. 2 years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician: Practical experience working as a Pharmacy Technician, with a deep understanding of pharmacy operations and patient care. Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician Certification: National certification as a Pharmacy Technician, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to the profession. State License: A valid license to practice as a Pharmacy Technician in your state, ensuring compliance with local regulations. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree: An associate degree in a relevant field, such as pharmacy technology or a related discipline, showcasing your advanced knowledge and skills. 3+ years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician: Additional experience working as a Pharmacy Technician, with a proven track record of success and a deeper understanding of pharmacy services management.
