About the Role: Music Teacher and Faculty Member As a Music Teacher and Faculty Member at Music Kids LLC, you will play a vital role in shaping the musical journey of our students. You will be responsible for teaching small group classes in violin, piano, and guitar to students of various age groups, including beginners. Your expertise and patience will help our students develop their musical skills, build confidence, and foster a lifelong appreciation for music. In addition to teaching, you will also be involved in program management, parent communication, lesson planning, and progress reporting. Key Responsibilities: Teach small group classes in violin, piano, and guitar to students of various age groups, including beginners Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote musical understanding and skill development Communicate with parents and provide regular updates on student progress Manage student records, schedules, and progress reports Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices Promote the music program and drive enrollment at partner school events Collaborate with senior resident Faculty Members and staff to achieve program goals Essential Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you should have: A minimum of 1-2 years of teaching experience in music classes or a traditional classroom setting Ability to teach more than one instrument at a beginning level, or ideally all three (violin, piano, and guitar) A strong interest in working with a wide range of student age groups, especially beginning level students (including 3-5 y/o) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliability, organization, and timeliness in managing responsibilities Friendly verbal and written communication skills Comfort working daily in email, internal instant messaging, company databases, digital timekeeping, and other online resources Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience teaching music to elementary students Knowledge of curriculum development and implementation Leadership or project management experience Ability to commute to partner schools (owning a car is optional but strongly preferred) Skills and Competencies: To succeed in this role, you should possess: Strong musical knowledge and teaching skills Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students of varying skill levels Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility and creativity in teaching style Strong organizational and time management skills Proficiency in using technology, including email, internal instant messaging, company databases, and digital timekeeping Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: At Music Kids LLC, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
