We're seeking an experienced and dedicated Lecturer in Veterinary Clinical Practice (LVCP) to join our dynamic team in the equine section. As a remote role, you'll have the flexibility to work from home while making a significant impact on the next generation of veterinary professionals. About Us Our Intramural Rotation Team is built on five core values: Collegial, Passionate, Creative, Supportive, and Inspiring. We're committed to partnering with the profession to provide authentic, relevant, and student-centred clinical veterinary education. Our team of clinical tutors, including LVCPs, plays a vital role in overseeing the development and evaluation of final-year students as they attain day-one competences. The Role As a Lecturer in Veterinary Clinical Practice (Equine), you'll be responsible for: Providing oversight of individual development and evaluation of final-year students through regular practice visits and one-to-one feedback and coaching. Supporting practice-based trained clinical mentors in the delivery of our Intramural Rotation (IMR) module. Overseeing the successful development of students' portfolios and playing a key role in the assessment of final-year students. Remediating students where necessary to ensure they meet the required competences. Participating in teacher training and other activities, which may require occasional visits to our Guildford campus. Essential and Preferred Qualifications We're looking for someone with: Experience in equine practice (additional experience with other species is advantageous). An intuitive passion for teaching and a willingness to develop your academic skills. Prior teaching experience (not essential but advantageous). A veterinary qualification and registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). While prior academic experience is not required, we're committed to providing you with the necessary training and support to excel in your role. Skills and Competencies To succeed as an LVCP, you'll need: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, clinical mentors, and other stakeholders. A strong understanding of veterinary clinical practice and the ability to stay up-to-date with industry developments. The ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, with flexibility and adaptability. A passion for delivering high-quality education and a commitment to student-centred learning.
