The Ideal Candidate: A Skilled and Compassionate Guide/Instructor We're looking for a talented and experienced Guide/Instructor who can share their knowledge, skills, and passion with our community of older adults. As a Guide/Instructor with GetSetUp, you'll have the opportunity to teach online classes, create engaging curriculum, and connect with learners from diverse backgrounds. Responsibilities: Bringing Your Expertise to Life As a Guide/Instructor with GetSetUp, you'll be responsible for: Teaching Online Classes: Delivering high-quality, engaging online classes to older adults (55+) using Zoom, covering subjects in which you have expertise, skill, and/or certification. Curriculum Development: Creating class outlines, slide decks, and curriculum for new classes that cater to the interests and needs of our learners. Technical Proficiency: Staying up-to-date on GetSetUp's virtual-led instruction principles, technologies, and teaching platform to ensure seamless delivery of online classes. Administrative Tasks: Completing administrative tasks, such as submitting hours, sending post-session notes to customers, and providing feedback to other GetSetUp teams, in a timely and efficient manner. Continuous Improvement: Participating in GetSetUp training, meetings, and feedback sessions to continually improve your teaching skills and contribute to the growth and development of our platform. Technical and Infrastructure Requirements To ensure a high-quality learning experience, we require: Reliable Internet Connection: A stable, high-speed internet connection that can support video conferencing via Zoom. Modern Computing Equipment: A late-model personal computer with audio and video capabilities, as well as a smartphone or other device to demonstrate specific skills or subjects (e.g., art, music). Equipment for Teaching: The ability to provide your own equipment for the classes you teach, such as a musical instrument, art supplies, or other materials relevant to your subject area.
