Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional patient care and support to customers through active listening, empathy, and effective communication Assist pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions, managing inventory, and maintaining patient records Operate and maintain pharmacy equipment, including computer systems and software applications Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care Stay up-to-date with industry trends, developments, and best practices in pharmacy operations Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance knowledge and skills Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to CVS Health's policies and procedures Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., pharmacy, healthcare, or biology) Current licensure as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of practice (requirements vary by state) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively Proficient in basic math skills, including calculations and conversions Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to CVS Health's policies and procedures Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a related field (e.g., retail, clinical, or customer care) Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (e.g., PTCB or similar) Experience with pharmacy software applications and computer systems Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, including dispensing, inventory management, and patient records Skills and Competencies Attention to detail and ability to focus on tasks for extended periods Excellent customer service skills, including empathy and active listening Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficient in basic math skills, including calculations and conversions Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills Physical Demands As a remote Pharmacy Technician, you will work from home and will not be required to perform physical tasks that require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
