Core Responsibilities Develop and implement robust, scalable, and automated software tools to enable complex analysis of real-time data Answer complex questions on change effect on manufacturing and provide data-driven insights to cross-functional teams Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supplier, and IT teams to drive business outcomes and improve overall efficiency Contribute to the automation and standardization of data pipelines and workflows Build representations to communicate complex data insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Analyze and determine the optimal solutions for change coordination with manufacturing, other Tesla plants, and suppliers Provide thought leadership in analysis, modeling, and data science to advance the team's capabilities and outcomes Guide colleagues and collaborate internally and externally to solve business problems and drive growth Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering) or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability Strong knowledge of data structures, architectures, and languages like SQL Experience and interest in data visualization procedures and tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, d3.js) Ability to problem-solve and adapt to changing needs with minimal notice to meet deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience with statistical programming (R), database languages (SQL), simulation tools (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic, FlexSim), and data visualization tools Preferred Qualifications Master's degree or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline Experience building data visualizations and dashboards Experience writing software in a professional environment Curious and driven to solve complex problems Strong engineering skills and proven track record of exceptional ability (e.g., you personally solved difficult problems that made a significant impact on major projects) Some knowledge of deep learning fundamentals; experience training neural networks and exploring results Skills and Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and continually evolving high-growth environment Comfortable in a setting with unstructured, incomplete, and ambiguous data Strong foundation in statistics and data science Experience with cloud-based data platforms and tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Excellent collaboration and communication skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Tesla, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about sustainable energy and electric vehicle technology.
