About the Job We're looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in building our information pipelines and data centers for OpenAI's AI solutions. These pipelines are essential for fueling examinations, well-being frameworks that guide business decisions, product development, and prevent troublemakers. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and manage our data pipelines, ensuring all client event data is consistently integrated into our data warehouse. Create sanctioned datasets to track key product metrics, including customer growth, engagement, and revenue. Work collaboratively with various teams, including Engineering, Data Science, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Research to understand their data needs and provide solutions. Implement robust and issue-oriented frameworks for data ingestion and processing. Participate in data design and architecture decisions, bringing expertise and data to bear. Ensure the security, integrity, and compliance of data according to industry and company guidelines. Qualifications and Requirements To succeed in this role, you'll need: Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in Data Engineering, such as Python, Scala, or Java. Experience with distributed processing technologies and frameworks, like Hadoop, Flink, and distributed storage systems (e.g., HDFS, S3). Aptitude with any of ETL schedulers like Apache Airflow, Dagster, or similar systems. Strong understanding of data storage and the ability to write, troubleshoot, and optimize data storage code. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you'll need: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
