Position Summary We're looking for a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to provide telephone support to patients and work closely with internal teams, insurance companies, and healthcare providers. As a Pharmacy Service Representative, you'll be responsible for the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying benefits, and ensuring seamless communication with patients and partners. Key Responsibilities: Provide exceptional telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy, addressing their concerns and resolving issues in a timely and compassionate manner. Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and reviving benefits, translating and entering prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, and communicating copay amounts. Collaborate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues. Utilize superb communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and internal partners, ensuring that financial and clinical expectations are met prior to fulfillment. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating compassionate, genuine care for patients and customers. Essential Qualifications: At least one year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone. Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications. One year of computer keyboarding experience, with strong skills and aptitude. Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology.
