Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Customer Engineer to join our team at blithequark. As a Customer Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving the adoption of blithequark Cloud products among our clients. Your expertise in cloud computing, technical sales, and customer-facing roles will enable you to provide exceptional support to our clients, helping them to unlock the full potential of our cloud solutions. Key Responsibilities Identify business and technical requirements, lead full technical discovery, and design customer solutions to meet assembled requirements. Lead technical projects, technology support, proposal bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of supporting technical resources. Deliver product messaging for the blithequark Cloud Platform using whiteboard and slide presentations, product demos, white papers, trial management, and Request for Information (RFI) response documents. Drive recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application frameworks to implement a complete solution, providing best practice advice to clients to optimize blithequark Cloud platform effectiveness. Attend client sites, meetings, and other events as required. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. At least 2 years of experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or a customer-facing role. Experience with legacy and modern application development, cloud service delivery, and networking. Experience with containers, including Kubernetes and other related technologies. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Full Scope Polygraph clearance status. Experience developing mobile architectures using API management, microservice architectures, PaaS, and container orchestration systems, or other relevant platforms. Experience working with Government Public Sector clients, including defense and civilian agencies. Knowledge of application security architectures, including web application security, service mesh, and mobile security techniques. Ability to learn, understand, and work with emerging technologies, philosophies, and solutions in the blithequark Cloud/IT technology space.
