About the Role of an Assistant Teacher As an Assistant Teacher at Childcare Network, you will play a vital role in the success of our center. Key Responsibilities Assist the Lead Teacher in maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting classroom that meets the highest standards of safety and quality. Communicate effectively with families on a daily basis to keep them informed about their child's progress and needs, fostering a partnership that supports the child's development. Develop strong professional relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to encourage parent and community engagement. Maintain accurate records, including attendance, child portfolios, and other documentation required by local agencies. Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children, following all health and safety guidelines. Utilize our science-based, proprietary curriculum and suggested supplement activities to create a fun and engaging learning environment tailored to each child's developmental needs. Contribute to the center's success by partnering with team members and leadership to achieve goals related to enrollment, accreditations, and family engagement. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A genuine warmth and understanding of the needs of young children and their families. A positive attitude and self-image, with a commitment to innovation and creativity. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with coworkers, parents, and children. A High School Diploma or GED, with a willingness to pursue further education in early childhood education. The ability to pass a state-required criminal background check. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience working in early childhood education, preferably in a similar role. A degree in early childhood education or a related field. Knowledge of science-based curriculum and experience with proprietary educational programs. First aid and CPR certification.
