DevOps Architect - OCCAS-based voice applications

DevOps Architect (Telecom) Contract Duration: 6-months (possible extension) Work Location: REMOTE (flexible time zones) Start Date: ASAP/January Interview Process: 1 round interview with the hiring manager Interview Times: Once candidates are identified can schedule interviews with 24 hours' notice Reason for the need Oracle’s SBC Consulting Delivery Organization is supporting a major customer (UnitedHealth Group) with large-scale network deployments and AI-driven communications solutions. The team is short on resources and needs experienced OCCAS developers to troubleshoot, debug, and build SIP-based voice applications on Oracle Communications Converged Application Server (OCCAS). OVERVIEW/PROJECT DETAILS: • Support large-scale network deployments for service providers and enterprise customers • Focus on OCCAS (Oracle Communications Converged Application Server) for voice applications • Work closely with customer teams on requirements, testing, and deployment • Provide architecture guidance and DevOps support for OCCAS integrations • Collaborate with offshore teams and managed services FORMER JOB TITLES: • OCCAS Developer • SIP Application Developer • Java Voice Application Engineer • DevOps Architect (Telecom) MUST HAVE SKILLS: • 5–7+ years of experience in software development and architecture. • Experience with OCCAS (Oracle Communications Converged Application Server) or similar application server (ex. WebLogic Server) • Expertise in SIP-based voice applications and related protocols. • Hands-on experience with WebLogic and workflow management. • Solid understanding of Java for voice application development. • Proven ability to work in DevOps environments (CI/CD, automation, deployment). • Excellent customer-facing communication skills and reliability. PLUS SKILLS: • Experience with service provider networks • AI-driven telecom solutions • 5G signaling knowledge EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s Degree COMPANIES/INDUSTRIES TO TARGET: • Telecom service providers • Enterprise network solution providers • Companies using OCCAS or SIP-based voice platforms DAY TO DAY: • Lead architecture and DevOps efforts for OCCAS-based voice applications • Troubleshoot and debug SIP applications • Collaborate with customer teams for requirements and deployment • Support integration of custom platforms into service provider networks • Participate in customer-facing meetings and provide technical guidance SELLING POINTS: • Work on cutting-edge voice and AI technologies • High-impact project with a major enterprise customer • Flexible remote work and competitive compensation REMOTE INFO: Fully remote, US business hours, flexible time zones, 40-hour week Apply tot his job
