About Client: A fast-growing US-based SaaS company is transforming how energy firms manage operations. Their end-to-end ERP platform streamlines field data, production, finance, land, and compliance, delivering real-time insights and operational efficiency. With a strong client base and innovative tech, they’re redefining digital transformation in the energy and utilities sector. Role & Responsibilities: • Lead Database administration and optimise relational databases (e.g., SQL Server). • Support ERP database migrations, upgrades, and performance tuning. • Conduct database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimisation for relational and analytical workloads. • Analyze and recommend performance optimization strategies for single and multi-tenant database environments. • Assess and recommend VM and disk configurations in cloud platforms like Azure and AWS for optimal performance. • Help DevOps team automate routine database tasks for cloud-hosted and on-premises databases. • Set up and maintain database replication strategies, including transactional replication for real-time updates and scaling. Ensure data availability, consistency, and integrity across ERP systems and analytics platforms. Requirements & Qualifications: • 8+ years of strong experience in DB engineering, administration and production operations on cloud, specifically MS SQL. • Hands-on experience with cloud database solutions and infrastructure in Azure and AWS, including optimising VM and disk configurations for cost and performance. • Database performance tuning and optimisation. • Expertise in high-availability (HA) clusters, read replica management, and transactional replication. • Proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages, such as Python/Bash. • Knowledge of data modelling, data quality, data security, and data governance principles and practices. • Familiarity with database monitoring and database DevOps tools (Datadog, Grafana, Azure Monitor). • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
