Backend Engineer – Music Policy
Description: • Build and launch backend services for Music Policy initiatives • Collaborate with product, insights, design, web, backend, and data engineers • Design, develop, and deploy backend services focusing on high availability, low latency, and scalability • Take operational responsibility for owned services including on-call rotation • Work in agile teams to experiment, iterate, and deliver on product objectives • Enhance tooling for squads within the product area • Work with a small, focused team to drive initiatives around Music Policy Requirements: • Strong command of backend development standard processes • Proven track record of delivering DRY, maintainable code that scales • Comfortable with Java code and contributed to backend services • Interested in current best practices in areas of expertise • Comfortable working with modern infrastructure and tools • Knowledge of continuous delivery and automated testing • Interest in exploring Front End engineering (T-shaped) • Familiarity with design of distributed and scalable systems • Good understanding of data structures and algorithms • Proficient with: JAVA, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Git, Google Cloud Platform(GCP), Grafana, JUnit, PagerDuty, Data Structures & Algorithms • Nice to have: Experience with Front End technologies Benefits: • health insurance • six month paid parental leave • 401(k) retirement plan • a monthly meal allowance • 23 paid days off • 13 paid flexible holidays • equity Apply tot his job
