Associate Product Manager

As an Associate Product Manager in the Consumer Products Bibles, Catechisms, and Church Docs unit, you will collaborate with the Associate General Manager and Senior Product Manager to execute the established product roadmap, refine product specifications, oversee production, and ensure timely delivery of assigned products. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and organizational skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Roadmap Execution Support the Senior Product Manager in executing the multi-year roadmap, ensuring alignment with market and strategic goals. Manage the research, design, production, and delivery of assigned products Maintain backlist products through extensions, revisions, and supplemental materials. Market & Financial Execution Conduct market and competitor research to support pricing, positioning, and sales projections within the roadmap. Develop forecasts and monitor metrics to ensure budget adherence and product success, reporting to the Senior Product Manager. Content Development Collaborate with authors, vendors, and video teams to deliver high-quality content; lead select project workflows. Manage external talent relationships and ensure timely milestone delivery for assigned initiatives. Cross-Functional Collaboration Provide strategic input in planning meetings and lead discussions for assigned products. Partner with marketing, media, and production for Go-To-Market strategies. Align schedules and budgets with the project manager, functional team members, and marketing, and own timelines for assigned initiatives. Customer & Market Insight Gather customer feedback to inform and refine product development within the roadmap. COMPETENCIES & SKILLS: Publishing Experience | Content Licensing | Liturgical and/or Biblical Publishing | Market Research | Data Analytics | Product Management | Roadmap Execution | Collaboration | Communication | Time Management Requirements Bachelor’s in Marketing, Business, English, Theology, or related field; advanced degree a plus. 3-5 years in product management or content development with experience in the publishing industry; knowledge of content licensing strongly preferred. Proficiency in Italian is a plus but not required. Familiarity with Ascension ’s products and Catholic market. Strong communication, project management, and multitasking skills.
